Medical Oncologists – Leesburg, Springfield, and Richmond, VA
Radiation Oncologist – Richmond, VA

TOS has been providing oncology care for companion animals in the greater Washington DC area for over 10 years. We are looking for additional medical and radiation oncologists to join our growing team immediately and through 2015.

At each of our four locations there is a unique opportunity to work within an oncology focused practice environment that is fully aligned within a multi-specialty referral hospital. Our practice includes direct access to clinical trials through our close relationship with Animal Clinical Investigation. Our practice is dedicated to the delivery of personalized cancer care with the most advanced options for cancer treatment.

Collectively our group now includes a team of 10 veterinarians exclusively dedicated to providing the highest level of care in medical oncology. Working within this team provides a unique opportunity for professional enrichment in the field and flexible work schedules.


Licensed Veterinary Technician – Leesburg, VA (Immediately)

The Oncology Service in Leesburg, VA (Within TLC West) is looking for a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. We are specifically seeking individuals who have experience within the veterinary industry and have a passion for providing excellent service and care to our clients and patients. Interested candidates must be well organized, work well individually and as a team, have some leadership qualities, and be dedicated to care, compassion and quality.

Candidates should be friendly and have a client focused approach to each case, with excellent written and verbal communication. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast paced/sometimes stressful environment and be able to multi-task.

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to assisting our oncologists, speaking to clients both in person and over the phone, acquiring in-depth medical histories, placing IV catheters, administration of general and chemotherapeutic medications, obtaining radiographs, anesthesia monitoring, patient care, and client education. Special emphasis will be placed on anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery.

Ideal candidates should have a broad knowledge of veterinary science, including pharmacology, above average mathematical skills, and be willing to invest time and energy to learn oncology specific information.

We require a minimum of two years of veterinary technician experience, with a preference for those who have worked in specialty practice previously. You must either be licensed in the state of Virginia, or eligible to apply for one prior to working with TOS.

Our work week is Monday through Friday, and no weekend hours are required of this position. Benefits are available for full time employees and include health, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, life insurance, and CE days as well as allowance.
